This is the second year of Ice Cube’s Big3 tournament and it was as 10 times better than last year. The Big3 tournament is a summer 3-on-3 tournament that consist of retired NBA players and other B league stars. The games were even better this year. This year some great past players came out from Baron Davis, Nate Robinson, and Amar’e Stoudemire. Just to name a few. This year’s game took place at the United Center. The rosters were more competitive and the games were more intense.
Since, we were going to a basketball game I wanted to be as comfortable as possible. A couple of weeks prior, on a Monday, I was talking to a coworker and she was explaining to me what she had gotten for one student’s as a graduation gift. She showed me the shoes and I instantly fell in love. They were some Vans that were exclusive to Journeys. I went on the website and was going to order but I thought it be best if I waited closer to pay day. When I looked on the website that Thursday the shoes were sold out in my size. I then checked the store availability and saw that they had my size. Later, that day I went to the mall to see if I could order them but they were out in my size as well. The sales associate suggested calling another store and seeing if they could ship it to the store and I pick it up from them. After calling a couple stores, a store had it in stock and agreed to ship it. I went through a lot to spend $60.
The week of the game I still didn’t know what I was going to wear. When I left work on day I decided to stop by a store on my way home. While, in there I found a sheer bodysuit with checkered sleeves that matched the shoes and it was only $15. I pair the bodysuit with some dark denim short shorts because it was super hot the day of the game. I also added my gold link necklace and oversized crystal earrings.
I will definitely be attending the game again. It seems like each year I find a deal on the tickets. Last year, we purchased tickets off Groupon and this year they had a deal buy one get one free tickets. Can’t wait to see what I come across next year.
