Vegas was over a month ago and I’m already ready to go on another trip. People need vacations. In March, I was feeling so drained, with work, school, and mommy duties. It seemed like I never had a moment to myself. So, I kind of put it out there on Snapchat that I wanted to go. A few people hit me up interested but no one really ever seemed to be serious so I asked one of my close friends to go with me.
As i decided on a weekend in May, I kept bouncing back and forth I finally settled on the first weekend because Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin were having a boxing match that weekend. The fight ended up being canceled due to Alvarez testing positive twice for a banned substance clenbuterol. That didn’t make a difference for me because I’m not really a boxing fan anyway.
As the weeks grew closer to the trip we began to discuss what we were going to do once we got there. We both knew that we wanted to go to the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum because we had never been despite how many times we’ve been to Vegas. By the way I found an admission for 2 Groupon deal for the wax museum for $21.98. So, that was a win.
We knew that we wanted to turn up while we were out there but where was the question. So Drai’s is always a popular spot because they always have artist there performing so we stalked the site waiting to see who they’d have there the weekend we were in town. Finally, they revealed that T.I. and Trey Songz would be there so we decided Drai’s would be the move for Friday night. But what about Saturday? My friend was telling me about promoters, specifically NoCoverNightclubs, and how you could get into the clubs for free. So, she signed us up for several parties and clubs including Drai’s, Tao NIghtclub in the Venetian who was hosting Gucci Mane, and Daylight Beach Club at at the Mandalay Bay who was hosting Rick Ross. Me being me, skeptical we paid to get into the night clubs, in advance which is what I strongly suggest. But I’ll say this if you do not mind being super early to the club and waiting in long lines then sign up with the promoters. The only one that I suggest paying for is Drai’s because their free lines wraps through the hotel damn near. All the parties were lit! We even got on Rick Ross’s snapchat because we were able to be right at the stage while he was performing.
Now, let’s talk about why I’m really here. What did I wear?
