All I can say is I have the pleasure of knowing some amazing women. One of ladies decided that it would be a great idea to organize a surprise birthday/farewell party for a mutual friend. OMG was it hard to pull off because the one that we were throwing the party for is very nosey and has to have her hands in everything.
The attire for the ladies that would be attending the party that night was all black so everyone in the building could easily identify the turnup. We tried our best to get the birthday girl in anything besides all black, because she ALWAYS wears black. She wore the cutest white aztec sequin embellished mini dress from Express. Everyone in the building could tell it was her “Diva Day” and that she came to party.
I have the hardest time finding something to wear when it comes to conforming to a dress code, which is why it takes me so long to find clothes for work. Minutes before it was time to leave out the house to beat the birthday girl to the club I was still struggling to find something to wear. I decided to wear a pair a black leatherette skirt I purchased years ago but never wore and a black mock neck crop top, also purchased a while ago. I layered the pieces with a black faux fur vest that I bought Black Friday from WetSeal. I added some black platform booties which allowed me to dance the night away because they are super comfortable. The look was completed with my gold toned stoned teardrop earrings and my gold toned layered necklace. My leopard knuckle clutch added the extra bit of “divaness” to the outfit.
We had an amazing time. The DJ was quoted saying that “Where are the men at? Cuz these ladies are buying all the bottles!”
