This past Saturday, I traveled to Chicago to see a play by Je’Caryous Johnson called “Things Your Man Won’t Do.” The play starred such great black actors including Wendy Raquel Robinson, Tichina Arnold, Brian White, and Leon. The play is a story of love, righting past wrongs and valuing the things that really matter. Rachel Braxton (Arnold) who is fed up with all the things that her man (White) won’t do. It was a great play and I highly recommend you seeing it when it comes to a city near you.
Now, what I wore. I decided to get a wear out of the outfit that I was originally going to wear to the BTS Tour, starring Chris Brown and Trey Songz. With the idea in mind that some fashion rules are supposed to be broken, I broke one of the biggest fashion rule and wore white after Labor Day and before Easter. I wore a pair of white jeans cuffed just a little bit above the ankle. I complemented the jeans with a denim chambray button up top and a blue and white faux fur vest. A pair of camel strapped lug booties completed the look with my Gucci link chain and bracelet.
(Please excuse the green MK purse. It’s the everyday purse I carry.)
